Berth planning at Brevik lived on a wall chart. When a vessel was late, planners moved magnets and phoned four people to tell them.

The route we took

I spent a week on the quay before drawing anything. The scheduler shows the next 72 hours as a single timeline, and a change made by one planner appears for everyone at once.

What changed

Two ports were live within a year. Late-vessel changes that took an hour of calls now take a minute, and the wall chart came down.
